Foambyte® is now officially registered as a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Foambyte LLC is the legal owner of the mark.
It’s a milestone more than two years in the making.
When we chose the name, we wanted it to reflect both sides of the business. Foam is the head on a beer or a margarita. Byte stands for technology and data. Together, they capture where brewing and software meet.
The name also reflects our brand personality, which has two sides. The first is excitement: carefree, spirited, and modern. The second is competence: successful, accomplished, and trustworthy. If Foambyte were a person, it would be a relaxed brewmaster with the skills of a tech-savvy software developer. Someone you’d really like to have a beer with, who has deep knowledge of computer engineering and is a friend you can trust.
The registration took more than two years. Along the way, we applied for several extensions while we built the product and made it available to our users. We believed in the future of Foambyte from the beginning, so we committed to registering the trademark from the start.
For us and for our users, this is another milestone, not a finish line. We’re more excited and committed than ever to making Foambyte the best brewing software in the world for homebrewers and small breweries, and we’re continuing to build toward that goal.
